Of all the organisations we regularly meet with, Body Gossip run by actor Ruth Rogers and body image commentator Natasha Devon are the most talkative. In fact they never stop spouting off….Good Women!

From the training days they run within schools to help young boys and girls name the pressure they feel to confirm to unachievable body ideals at an early age and learn coping strategies  to the press-worthy events they create to draw attention to the debate. They say….

“We live in a culture where 1 in 10 young people will develop an eating disorder before they are 25, with a 16% increase of diagnoses in young men over the past five years. In any average British classroom 3 students will be self-harming. 70% of young women and 30% of young men aged 11-19 in this country cite their relationship with their body as their number one worry.”

The Flashmob they held recently at Debenhams – a stalwart supporter of positive body image and winner of last year’s Body Confidence Award for retailing, held by MP Jo Swinson at Parliament, was covered by national media.

Earlier on the Southbank, they asked for a simple show of graphic hearts to promote BODY LOVE not body shame.

How do you feel about your body? Why not add your own body gossip to their site here.
